Considering all spaces share different patterns of behaviour, the work refers to the performative aspects of people in public and private spaces. On the one hand, the piece shows thresholds catching moments of transition between two spaces and the silhouette of the viewer on the projected screen. At the same time, on the other hand, found scenes from movies of the 90s show the contrasts of a different kind of performance, one that is to the self, or a fantasy of what that presumes, on an owned free-from-a-pattern-of-behaviour space.
The video above is a one screen adaptation of a three screens video installation. The installation happened in a rectangular dark room featuring the thresholds film full sized on the wall and had opposite two vintage TVs screening the two 90s movie scenes synced as shown on the adaptation.
